Abu Sayyaf threatens to behead abducted German if ransom not paid

Abu Sayyaf militants on Tuesday, February 14 released a new video of the abducted 70-year old German national Jurgen Kantner, demanding P30 million in exchange for his freedom.

Kantner was sailing with his wife Sabine Merz near Tanjong Luuk Pisuk in Sabah, Malayasia when they were first abducted. His wife’s body was found inside the abandoned light sky blue yacht “Rockall” bearing a German Flag, with a gunshot wound that lead to her death.

Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Muamar Askali “Abu Rami” on Tuesday announced that if the P30 million demand won’t be given, Kantner is scheduled to be beheaded at 3:00 p.m. on February 26.
