Godofredo “Goody” Tolentino was shot dead by an unidentified assailant inside his family-owned business in Mandaluyong City on Monday evening.
Godofredo “Goody” Tolentino was shot in the head, from behind, at close range by a gunman wearing a black jacket. There were only a few people inside the establishment at the time.
The suspect immediately ran towards a motorcycle with a lookout and left via a getaway motorcycle going toward Aglipay Street, according to witnesses.
Tolentino was taken to the Mandaluyong City Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Lucas Riel Bersamin Jr.
Tolentino, a two-term chairman, had been leading Barangay Poblacion for four years. He had no known enemy, according to his family.
